SFBW2016_Logo_8thAnnualSan Francisco Beer Week is almost upon us and we’ve cooked up another great week of events at both our San Francisco pub and new San Leandro brewery. This year SF Beer Week starts a bit earlier than past years as the Super Bowl is coming to town in February. The opening gala commences on January 22nd and beer week runs through Sunday January 31st. The mandate with SF Beer Week has always been simple as it’s about the cultural, education and culinary aspects of beer. We hope to see you whether it’s for the Brewers Brunch on the first Sunday or the Brewers Sunday Tea with Fatted Calf on the last Sunday as well as all events in between.

Cleophus Quealy is joining us as well with their distinctive and elegant barrel-aged beers. This is a great way to start your Sunday SF Beer Week with a good foundation with great rare beers. This is an ala carte event with a special menu.

21st Amendment San Leandro Brewery Open House and Special Barrel-Aged Tastings with Live Music
Wednesday – January 27th – 4pm – 8pm – 21st Amendment San Leandro Brewery
We’ve started our barrel program. We open the doors to our San Leandro brewery for tours, and a special tasting of our barrel-aged “Construction Beer” along with our friends at “Taqueria/Food Truck La Poblano” creating great beer inspired food pairings. On top of all that we have “Rooster’s Cousin” David Higdon playing great tunes on his guitar in the brewery space. The Construction Beer is a special project and a blend of 2014 21st Amendment Belgian Beer Month beers that were cellared in an American oak barrel for one year. This barrel was moved around the brewery during our build-out where it picked up nuances along it’s journey. It’s a fantastic beer with complex malt favors and aromas. We’ll also crack open a sneak peek of other barrel-aged beers in production. This is not to be missed.

Brewers’ Sunday Tea with Fatted Calf and Live Bluegrass – Sunday – January 31 – 11:00am – 3:00pm – 21st Amendment San Francisco Pub
What do brewers do on Sunday? Well, they sometimes don’t drink tea. This is your end of SF Beer Week event. You made it, now join us for Bay Area favorite Fatted Calf’s delicious beer sausages made with our featured strong beers. Other strong beers from Bay Area breweries will be on hand. We’ll have music as well in our Beer Garden. Come on out and see your favorite brewers in the beer garden enjoying Sunday “tea” and grilled beer sausages and live bluegrass. A perfect way to start your last day of SF Beer Week.
